Truths about LOVE & Entrepreneurship

Friday, November 20th, 2009

Dear Amazing Women,

If you’re on my newsletter list (you can receive it subscribing here: www.BeLoveSavvy.com/articles.htm) , you read that a few weeks ago I attended Ali Brown’s SHINE event in Las Vegas.  This was a group of 500+ entrepreneurs – mostly women – all gathered in one ballroom for 3 full days of inspiration, teaching, and networking.

With my recent ‘Find YOUR MR. Right Breakthrough Session’ promo, I’ve been meeting even more women ready for LOVE.  New love. Different love. They’re ready for a road they haven’t been down before.  As I’ve been consulting with these great women, I’ve been reminded of my biggest learning’s at SHINE.  Who knew?  Love & Entrepreneurship have a lot in common.

* ** Make Decisions based on where you want to be, not where you are (or where you’ve been).

This is a biggie.  Entrepreneurs become afraid to invest more at times.  They’re looking at what’s worked so far.  Women seeking love are the same.  Many women are looking at their track record, their hurts, or their current status – and making decisions from that place, rather than based on their Vision.

*** If you are being your authentic self, you really can’t have competition.

Yeeessss.  This one is SO important ladies. I hear clients talk about comparison all the time, and as women, we all do this – I believe more than men.  If I sat and compared myself to other experts in my field, I would feel deflated and uninspired.  I may try to not be ME, but more like THEM, if I was feeling insecure or dis-believing.  As a woman, the more you own and harness your own personality, your own authentic beauty - and play up your strengths, the RIGHT man for you will be effortlessly drawn to youComparison DOES kill.

* ** People won’t invest in you beyond what you’ve invested in yourself.

As a coach, I continually invest in my own growth, tools and training.  I continually make financial investments in myself via coaches, teachers, trainings, seminars - not to mention the investment of time, and self-care.  I could never expect to receive an investment from a client for one of my coaching packages, products or seminars that I don’t make myself.  It’s an integrity thing.

How does this show up in LOVE?  Would you want to date you?  And are you in integrity in general with how you treat others?  Once a client came to me  being very tough on the guys out there, yet she was ultra-sensitive to any form of rejection that SHE received. It was amazing to watch her transform in our work together and soften into more acceptance of others & herself – and receive love.  Like attracts Like, so the more you invest in your own care, happiness and life – the more you will receive in the form of a wonderful partner.

Wishing you a fabulous Friday & weekend ahead.

From my savvy heart to yours ~

Calling all Self-Aware Single Women ready to Magnetize Love & Success

Monday, October 5th, 2009

Is this you? If it is, you want to keep reading.  I say self-aware because a conscious woman is a savvy woman! She is knowing (one of the Webster’s definitions of savvy).   She also understands that her awareness of herself, what she wants, and generally of life keeps growing , and, harnessing this is life and LOVE-affirming, and life-changing!

So, if you are a single woman local to the SF area, and ready to up-level her love, relationships and life, I invite you to join the Love & Success circle. Find out more about these circles here.

What I know to be true is that whatever we want in life is both an inside & outside job.  What we believe is what we get, especially what we believe is possible, and what we believe about ourselves.  Not to say it’s about sitting Indian-style for hours in meditation. Far from!  But, what we focus on, what we put into our minds, what energy we put behind our actions, and what and who we surround ourselves with all contribute to our results in life.  When we work with these pieces, we feel bigger.  And when we feel bigger, we act bigger (just as small thinking and feeling leads to small actions).

So if you’re doing the same things, thinking the same things, and giving attention and energy to the same things – and BE-ing the same = you’ll get the same results. If a woman thinks she’s doing everything possible to ‘find a man’ by being online constantly and out 5 nights a week, BUT her mind-set and energy are self-defeating, she might be busy but she is not likely to attract what she most deeply desires in a sustainable way.

Bookmark into your life (2) meetings a month (click here for more info) with me and other savvy women, and receive guidance, resources and accountability to change your life in a powerful way. Challenge yourself in a safe enviroment.  Become accountable in new ways.  Step into amazing energy.  Warning: skeptics, tire-kickers, or silver-bullet- only -please ladies are allowed, however. It won’t be your thing. This is about taking full responsibility for your own results in a feel-good yet productive way.

Are you ready to be inspired, quiet out that negative ‘group-think’ that’s so pervasive, and take things to a new level?  You can send Donna an email for details, questions, or to schedule a brief chat with me here: assist@belovesavvy.com.

Here’s to new change this Fall.

Got Shine?

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

“Remember when you were at your best? Now be there again!”  – William Patterson

I recently met Rosa while shopping at Macy’s.  Rosa is full of shine – she radiates.  With her open and positive energy, she engages everyone around her.  We chatted as she rung up my purchase.  I learned that she takes care of her husband of 30 years, who has Alzheimer’s.  We met towards the end of her shift, and yet she looked like she had just arrived to work.  She clearly takes care in her appearance, wearing a well put-together outfit, jewelry and make-up.  Rosa, with a great sense of humor, winked and said she never knows who she might meet in a cab on the way to work.  I loved her attitude, it was so refreshing.  Despite her devotion to caring for her husband and working hard on her feet for eight hours dealing with the public,  Rosa shined.

We all encounter Rosa’s, and we are always impressed and inspired with their ability to shine and be at their best, despite very difficult, challenging circumstances.  It’s humbling.  How easy is it to focus on what’s seemingly missing from our life ?   We often (or always) attach being at our best, and shining, to when this or that circumstance arrives for us: the date…the better job…the relationship…the weight loss…the proposal…the baby…..and on and on we go.

Guess what, my savvy friends?   It is only when we remember to shine, and strive to be our best no matter the circumstance ,  that life brings in the sweet moments and joyful times.   Something magical happens.  We gain awareness and presence to the truth that it might not soley be about ‘arriving’ at whatever the desired circumstance is.  That desired job/relationship/event is most certainly going to require your best from you.  Shine now = shine later.  Love now = love later.

It’s not easy at times, I know.  If it feels like such a struggle, remember that like anything worthwhile, shining right now can be achieved in baby-steps.  Stuck?   Take a look and see if my Love Savvy Principle #4 (www.belovesavvy.com/approach) may be missing from your life.

Leslie
